Retinal vein occlusion is one of the most prevalent ophthalmic vascular diseases throughout the world. It involves multiple risk factors and has not yet been completely understood as regard to its etiology and pathogenesis. Although a lot of studies focusing on the relationship between hyperhomocysteinemia and retinal vein occlusion have been performed in recent years, the conclusions still remain controversial.·
