The advancement of science and technology imposes a remarkable effect upon man’s exploration of the world and his outlook on the world, naturally, it makes changes in writer’s ideas about writing, and subsequently in writing approach. The cognitive crises, which are closely related to the innovations in science and technology, which are pervasive in the American society in the sixties of the last century, contributes a lot to the reform of literary genres, and to the remarkable rise of the nonfiction novel in particular.
