An elementary analysis of the culture of the local deities of the Yunnan Bai people

民族的原始宗教,在历史上都和本民族的社会、经济、文化、民俗习惯密切联系,对本民族的心理特质、社会意 识、行为规范的发展产生不同程度的影响。因此全面了解民族历史、了解民族宗教,将是发展民族经济、文化不可缺少的一个 方面。本文详细阐述了云南白族本主文化的发展、特征及其文化体系,由此展现了本主文化对白族社会的深厚影响。

The primitive religions of the ethnic groups, in history, are closely associated with their own society, economy, culture and customs, and in some degree, have great influences on the development of their psychology, social awareness and behaviors. Therefore, to get a better understanding of the history of ethnic groups and their religions is indispensable in the development of economy and culture. This article probes into the development, characteristics and system of the culture of the local deities of the Yunnan Bai people. Meanwhile, the author also argues its profound effects on the life of the Bai people.
