《桔子》中芥川龙之介的“明”与“暗”

A poor young girl who was going to a city for doing a manual work for living threw down a few golden oranges from the car window to her younger brother, who was sending her off at that time. This kind of human natural affection moved me, a crepehanger, profoundly. The short story Orange expressed the author's beautiful longing by 'the little things happened in the chance meeting'. However, the cruelty in the society at that time made him feel confused, uncomfortable and more disappointed. Beginning from the writing motivation and background, the purpose of this article is to try to dig out the complicated 'Bright' and 'Dark' in Akutagawa-ryunosuke's self-contradiction by analyzing the symbolic meaning in 'Orange'.
