Stream-of-consciousness in Chinese Literature of the 1930's

意识流小说有三种表现技法:内心独自、内心分析和感官印象,相应地便有三种意识流小说文体。施蛰存用内心分析的技法创作小说,刘呐鸥和穆时英用感官印象,因此,他们的小说应该属于中国20世纪30年代的意识流文学。

There are three major narrative techniques of stream-of-consciousness novels: inner-monologue, psychoanalysis and sense-impression. Accordingly, there are three paradigms of stream-of-consciousness fictions. Shi Zhecun conceived of his novels by the means of psychoanalysis rather than sense-impression, which was practiced by Mu Shiying and Liu na' ou. So Shi's psychoanalysis novels can be categorized into Chinese stream-of-consciousness novels in the 1930's along with new-sense fictions of Liu and Mu.
