我国古籍可分常规古籍和特殊古籍两大类。随着计算机技术的高速发展 ,古籍数字化成为可能并迅速发展。用现代手段整理、开发、保存古籍文献 ,是古籍发展的趋势 ,也是其唯一出路。中文古籍数字化在 2 0世纪后半叶取得了辉煌成就 ,尤其在特殊古籍数字化方面取得了重大进展。然而随着古籍数字化向纵深发展和用户要求的提高 ,古籍数字化又面临许多新的问题和挑战。

The ancient books in our country can be divided into two kinds: common and special. The fast development of computers makes the ancient books digitized possible. So the only way to arrange, develop and store the ancient documents is to use the computers. In the late period of 20th century, the digitized Chinese ancient books had already made a greet progress. But with the further development of the digitized ancient books and the higher requests of the customers, the digitized ancient books are facing more new problems and challenges.
