The Daughter of the Army is a representative frontier works.The paper re-reads the novel and discusses the literary characteristics of the youth who aided the border areas and the aesthetic features of this sort of literature.And also the paper probes into the complicated relationships of literature and ideology,literature and history,in dividuals and collectives,broad narration and narrow writing and focuses on the humanistic spirit and aesthetic pursuit of the border literature.
