The paper recommends the construction feature, performance, working principle and system construction of electrolyte rheostat starter, describes in detail the programmable control technology used in soft starting with electrolyte rheostat. Compared with traditional voltage reducing starting up, the system has a very good soft feature, because of the distance uniformly shortened between two pole plates and the resistance reduced linearly during starting up.
