Jack London is famous for putting main characters in serious conflicts. This paper analyzes Jack London's masterpieces, and probes their literary and social meanings: in the wild nature, the main characters could succeed in fighting against various obstacles with a strong will; while in the wild capitalist society, the main characters could only survive like a machine or even become inferior to a dog.
