科学技术与精神文明建设是互相影响、相互促进、共同发展的。科学技术作为精神文明建设的积极成果 ,促进了人们价值观的更新、道德的进步、思维方式的转变 ,最终促进了人的全面发展。但是科学技术由于自身的价值负载性和不当的社会运用 ,造成了它对精神文明建设有一定的负面影响。科学技术与精神文明之间的矛盾只有在社会主义国家中 。

Science and technology and morality civilization influence and promote each other, and they develop side by side. Science and technology itself, as the positive fruit of building socialist ethics, has promoted the innovation of people's values, the advancement of integrity, and transformation of mode of thought. Thus finally it has promoted people's all-round development. However, owing to improper social application, utilitarianism and people's alienation in practice, some science and technology has exerted negative influence on the development of socialist ethic and culture. The contradiction between science and technology and socialist ethical and culture progress can be completely and successfully solved only through conscientiously strengthening the construction of socialist culture and ethics in socialist countries.
