史前考古材料作为艺术起源研究实证材料值得怀疑。根据有限的化石材料很难勾勒出远古艺术的面貌。如何解释史前考古原物材料 ,从理论到背景到思维都有难克服的困难。不可能从源初意义上解释原始艺术考古材料 ,误解是不可避免的。

It is worthwhile to question the ways of having prehistoric archaeological materials functioning as evidence for the study of the origin of art. It's very difficult to sketch the whole picture of prehistoric art just according to very limited fossil materials. There are unconquerable difficulties as to how to explain those raw materials of prehistoric archaeology in the respect of the theory, of the background, and of the ways of thinking. Misunderstanding will inevitably occur if we can't explain primitive arts from their initial senses.
