摘要
本文利用死亡率差别指数，分析了湖南省１９７５与１９８１年粗死亡率，并与标准化死亡率进行了比较。结果表明，死亡率差别指数能够说明，在二年粗死亡率的差别中，有８０％是由于死亡水平降低，只有２０％是因为人口构成不同。认为该指标概念明确，使用方便，比标准化率更能获得较多的信息，为进一步分析资料提供了依据。
The crude mortality of Hunan province in 1975 and 1981 was analysed by using different indeces of mortality. Comparing with the standardized mortality rate, the author found that the concept of different indices of mortality were adequate and can supply more information in analysing statistical data.
