Brain death is defined as the irreversible cessation of all functions of the entire brain, including brain stem. The electroneurophysiological tests and transcranial Doppler play important roles in the diagnosis of brain death and have been paid attention to. The article introduces the present situation of the application of transcranial Doppler, electroencephalography and evoked potential in the diagnosis of brain death.
