Speed Limit and Safety

探讨限速、车速与安全等的关系。事故数与车速没有显著关系,而是与车速差有关,车速与事故的严重度密切相关;限速值的增加或降低对车速的影响很小,高速公路限速值降低有利于减少严重伤亡事故。本文还探讨了限速标志、减速丘、减速标线等设置的有关问题。

This paper discusses the relationship between the speed limit,speed and safety.What is related to the crashes is the speed variance.The speed has no evident correlation with crash frequency.Speed is related to the severity of crashes evidently.Raising and lowering speed limits have little effect on the operating speed.Lowing speed limit on expressway is benefcial to the reduction of fatal crashes.Speed limit sign,speed hump and transverse bar pavement markings are also discussed in this paper.
