Through comparing chapter after chapter of the bamboo-slip edition of Congzheng collected in Shanghai Museum, it is found that each paragraph begins with “I have heard it said [that](Wen Zi yue)” being actually identical with “The Master said [that](Zi yue)”. Both in form and in content, Congzheng is essentially and spiritually similar to Fangji, The Doctrine of the Mean, Biaoji and The Black Robe(Ziyi) contained in The Book of Rites(Liji). The dialogue between Lord Mu(Mu Gong) of the Lu State and Zisi included in Gongyi of Kongcongzi the more indicates that Congzheng is just one of the lost works of Zisizi.
