EDITOR’S NOTE: We were shocked to learn that the well-known Tibetologist Huang Hao had passed away in May 18, 2004. As he told his family not to hold any funeral ceremony, many of his friends would not have the chance to express their feelings and see him for the last time... Here Dr. Zhang Yun expresses the feeling of the entire Tibetan studies circle. The mourning expressed by him is also the expression of us all.
