Social Structure and Social Harmony

社会和谐是当代中国在从旧式现代性转向新型现代性的过程中凸显出来、迫切需要解决的时 代性课题。当代中国的现代化和体制改革导致了中国社会结构的变革,而社会结构的状况又直接体现了社会 关系的状况,构成社会稳定、社会和谐与社会发展的基础。社会结构与社会和谐具有密切的关系,一方面,构 建合理的社会结构可以促进和谐社会的建立,社会和谐源于社会结构,特别是社会阶层结构的协调和整合;另 一方面,社会更加和谐目标的实现,又会进一步促进合理的社会结构的形成,二者良性循环。

The essay first generalizes the momentous significance of regarding social harmony as the goal of government policy, analyzes social structure theoretically, especially the relationship between social stratum structure and social harmony. On the one hand, and points out that the construction of a reasonable social structure may improve the establishment of social harmony, which is originated from social structure, especially the coordination and integration of social stratum structure. On the other hand, the realization of a more harmonious society may further improve the construction of a reasonable social structure as well.
