抗美援朝运动前后中国民众的社会心态经历了一个转变的过程。这一转变过程的最突出特点是社会心理转变过程的多样性、复杂性和转变结果的“一律性”、“简单性”的统一。而在这一过程中,抗美援朝运动中的宣传教育起了至关重要的作用。抗美援朝运动中的宣传教育既有符合社会心理发展规律的方面,也存在一些问题,这为今天的民众社会心理调控工作提供了一定的启示。

The social mentality of the Chinese populace underwent a great change around the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea and the most marked feature of the change involved the unity of the diversity and complexity of the process of change on the one hand and the 'uniformity' and 'simplicity of the final results on the other. Publicity during the war played the most important role in the process. The publicity conformed to the law of development of social mentality in some aspects but problems existed in other aspects, which provides much food for thought in the readjustment and control of social mentality of the populace today.
