Prospects for EU’s lifting the Ban of Arms Sales to China

欧盟对华军售禁令有其历史背景.禁令迟迟无法解除,一是美国的阻挠,二是欧盟内部意见不统一,三是借此向中国施压.但这一禁令的解除只是时间问题,中国应冷静对待.

The historical background for theban deserves to be examined. The ban of arms sales to China could not be lifted for quite a long time because of the following reasons: Firstly, the U.S. insistently prevents the EU from doing so. Secondly, there are different points of views within the EU. Thirdly, the EU takes advantage of this to put pressure on China. However, the ban of arms sales to China will be lifted sooner or later. China should keep calm towards this matter.
