Design and implementation of a New Scheme for NVoD Broadcasting

摘要 提出了一种新的改进的快速广播算法(MFB),该算法通过增加一个辅助播出信道的方式,改善了原有快速广播算法的多项性能指标。此外,该算法在用户接收端带有本地存储功能和不带本地存储功能的情况下均能流畅地收看到节目,这是许多其它广播算法所无法同时满足的。 This paper presents a new modified fast broadcasting scheme(MFB). It need less buffer requirment and disk I/O requirment than the fast broadcasting(FB) scheme in the same waiting time. And using this new scheme, if a set-top-box has no buffer, its user can still have the movie with half of the waiting time than the fast broadcasting scheme.
