Sustained and Effective Development to Enable a Century- old Oilfield——Interview with Mr. Wang Yupu, President and General Manager of Daqing Oilfield Co., Ltd.

在3月份召开的“两会”上,“可持续发展”、“和谐社会”成为“点击率”最高的词汇。以勘探开发不可再生的油气资源为主业的油田企业,同样面临着这一系列不可回避的问题。作为全国最大的油田企业,大庆是如何贯彻科学发展观的?在寻求企业可持续发展之路、为创建和谐社会发挥自己应有的作用等方面,大庆的“当家人”有哪些认识?采取了哪些具体措施?带着这些问题,本刊记者专访了全国人大代表、大庆油田有限责任公司董事长、总经理王玉普。

The largest oilfield in China at present, Daqing Oilfield, has made a huge contribution to the development of China in its 45-year history. As of 2004, Daqin onsg Oilfield has produced 1.821b tons of crude in total, accounting for over 40% of the total output ofhore oilfields of China. Since its establishment in January 2000 and the implementation of 'Sustained and Effective Development to Enable a Century-old Oilfield' development strategy, Daqing Oilfield Co., Ltd. has been maintaining a strong momentum. Speaking of creating a century-old oilfield, Mr. Wang Yupu, representative of the National People's Congress, president and general manager of Daqing Oilfield Co., Ltd., said: 'The century-old oilfield we refer to is a century-old enterprise with strong competitiveness and vitality, which is based on local development, supplemented by overseas operations, supported by technical advantages, first-class talents and advanced cultures'. According to Wang Yupu, to create a century-old oilfield, maximizing the ratio of proven resources is an important foundation, maximizing oilfield recovery ratio is the key, optimizing the overall economic benefits is the intrinsic requirement and rounding up a team with the highest quality is the guarantee.
