On Concepts of Time in Inter-cultural Communication

人类的时间观亘古有之,但不同社会,不同文化的人们对时间的理解和运用是不相同的。人们对时间的理解、建构、反应和解释的学科就是时间学,据研究,在文化时间观里,非正式时间最能导致文化冲突。

There have been existing concepts of time since ancient time. People from different society or culture may have different interpretation and application of time. So people's understanding, constructing, responding and interpreting of time contributes to a study--Chronemics. According to some research, informal time is quite easy to cause cultural conflicts.
