Comparative Studies on First Phase of Erlitou Culture and Xinzhai Phase

本文认为,河南龙山文化晚期为夏代早期文化,二里头文化第一期为后羿、寒浞代夏以后的物质文化,新砦期二里头文化的发现既填补了两者之间的空隙,也证实二里头文化第一期非为夏代文化的初始。

This paper proposes that the late Longshan period in Henan corresponds to the early Xia dynasty, and the first period of the Erlitou culture to the Xia dynasty after Houyi and Hanzhuo. The Xinzhai phase of the Erlitou culture not only fills the gap between the above two cultures, but also de- monstrates that the first phase of the Erlitou culture is not the beginning of Xia dynasty.
