Discussion on Western Diffusion of Chu Culture with Evidence from Three Gorges Region

本文就近年来三峡考古所发现的材料,对西周中晚期-战国时期楚文化在宜昌到重庆这段沿江地区的分布及其发展历程作了一个初步的整理,试图分析出楚文化因素在这一时期一步步沿江西渐的过程。根据各区遗址的文化面貌及其所包含的主体文化因素,并结合当时的文献,试图分析出到底是楚文化因素到达这一地区,还是楚人到达过这一地区。当楚文化到达这一地区后,与当地文化的关系怎样,对当时的人们,产生过什么样的影响?并期望对楚的西部边界问题,楚巴关系问题有一丝启发。

Based on study of excavated evidence in the Three Gorges region in recent years, this pa- per discusses the distribution and western diffusion of Chu culture along the Yangtze River from Yichang to Chongqing, dated from the middle and late Western Zhou dynasty to the Warring States per- iod. Additionally, combining with studies on classical texts, the paper also tentatively explore when the Chu culture arrived, its relationship with original cultures in this area and its influence on local residents. Furthermore, it discusses on the western boundary of the Chu state and the relationship between Chu and Ba.
