摘要
图书馆工作人员,天天要和读者打交道。'一切为了读者'是图书馆工作的宗旨。近期有人还提出要建立读者学,我就是其中的一个。然而,'熟知非真知',到底何谓读者?有多少种不同的读者?怎样区分他们?他们之间的关系又如何?对这些问题。
Library workers have to deal with users everyday.With the increasingly indepth servicesprovided to the library users,there are even some people who suggest to creat a study subject called'user studies'.However,there are often inconsistent views among librarians on what kind ofpeople are counted as users,how many different kinds of users are there and what are the relationsbetween these user groups.It is the author's opinion that users can be divided into two majorcategories, which are the current users and the potencial users.they can be further divided intofour groups according to the differences in their reading ability,behavior and psychology—matureuser,growing user,non-reading user and illiterate user.These groups might interchange in nature,but the guoup of mature user is unlikely to change into the te later kinds.
