中医“急症”考

A Textual Research on Emergency in TCM

中医“急症”的初始义是外伤的“疾”,经同声引申为“急”、“极”等义。“急谓病情紧急;“极”是指出现的紧急症候群。又从“极”字近义引申为“终”,“终症”是指急症中的不治之症或死症。另外,中医的“病”是由“疾”发展而成的危候,在观念上同样属于急症范畴。中医“急症是以“急”字贯彻始终。

The initial meaning of emergency treatment in TCM comes from the arrow wound,the Chinese character pronounced Ji,which had been extended by the same pronunciation to be emergent and emergent symptoms,further more,the Chinese character of emergency had been extended by close meaning to be the meaning of incurable disease,therefore,the emergent symoptoms in TCM has three meaning,emergent,emergent symptoms and incurable disease.
