12月9日晚,带着远古的呼唤,大型民族交响乐《华夏之根》走进世纪剧院,为首都人民呈现了华夏五千年的文明发展史。10日,京城音乐界的专家学者走进民族饭店,对《华夏之根》大型民族交响乐给予了很高的评价。他们认为这台音乐会不论从思想还是艺术上来讲,都是很精彩的。他们希望《华夏之根》能够增加历史的厚度,音乐材料运用面也再宽泛一些,争取把它打造成“全国粮票”,走出山西,走出中国。

The Roots of the Chinese Nation', a Chinese instrument symphony, opened the concert at Beijing Century Theater on December 10. The music presented to the people of the capital a vivid picture of Chinese civilization through a timeline of 5,000 years. At a lively symposium, specialists from Beijing's musical circles commented that this concert was excellent in terms of either art or philosophy. But they hoped that this musical piece should be given more historical dimension and open to wider music genres. And they wished that this concerto could go out of Shanxi, out of China, into the world.
