本文通过丰富的例词探讨了满语中存在的元音屈折现象。文中认为,元音屈折现象表现为两个层面的内容:元音交替和元音屈折。元音交替不区别语义;元音屈折区别语义。元音屈折不仅表现在语法形式中,它也存在于词汇中。有些元音屈折现象已经成为规范的语音形式,有些则处于自由状态中。

Based on abundant example words, the paper discusses that there exists inflectional vowels in Manchu. The author thinks that there are two kinds of inflectional vowel in Manchu: alternative vowels and inflectional vowels. Alternative vowels do not express different meanings but inflectional vowels do. Vowel inflecting exists not only in grammar forms but also in vocabulary. Some inflectional vowels are in normative language forms, but others are in free states.
