Studies on Jade Seals and Jade Books in Manchu

玉宝、玉册又称为谥宝、谥册,为当朝帝王为其列祖列后镌制的宝册。有清一代留下了一批质地精良、工艺精美的玉宝、玉册,堪为满族文物中之精品,其内容反映了当时皇帝对其前朝列祖列后的尊谥制度,具有较高的史料学价值。本文以不同类型的玉宝、玉册为例,对其特征进行了分析研究。

Jade seal and jade books are made by the emperor in charge for his forefathers and foremothers. There remained quantities of jade seals and jade books with high quality and perfect art, which are thought as refined works among Manchu cultural relics. The contents in them reflects the adoming system towards the ancestors of the emperor in position. So they are of value in historical materials. The paper takes various kinds of jade seal and jade books as examples, makes analysis and research on their characteristics.
