1999年冬天,藏北草原的一个小村子里来了一位天津画家,15岁的少年吉诺自愿做了他的免费向导,陪着他在村子里四处游荡。五年后的冬天,我们的记者也来到这个青藏公路边的小村庄,发现修建中的青藏铁路正好也经过这里,它催生了青藏公路没有完成的奇异变化。吉诺带着我们的记者又一次往大雪中漫步,他早已不再是当年那个忧郁的放牛娃了。
Winter of 1999, a painter from Tianjin arrives at a tiny village in the heart of the North Tibetan grassland. 15-year-old Gino volunteers to act as his guide and accompanies him as he wanders around the village. Five years later our reporter arrived at the village. The railroad tracks presently under construction run through this area holding the promise of furthering the process of change and development initiated earlier with the construction of the Qinghai-Tibet highway- This time Gino took our very own reporter rambling through the snow -- he is no longer the same somber little cattle herder boy.
