相恋西康建省

A Xikang Love Story

现在50岁以下的人中,恐怕很少有谁知道曾经有过一个叫“西康”的省份。在晚清以前,并没有西康这个概念。西康建省前,从四川雅安往西翻越二郎山,就进入传统的土司领地,泸定以南以彝族为主,沪定以北直到青海边界,整个金沙江以东的区域为大大小小的藏族土司势力瓜分。这一带处在中心藏区的边缘,人们俗称其为康区。“康”在藏语中是边地的意思,“西”指的是四川西部,西康名字由此而来。 1939年底,在这里,因为两个年轻人的一场恋情而爆发了甘孜事件。这两个年轻人的命运也因卷入了自己难以左右的势力斗争而变得支离破碎。

In Early 1938,The 9th Panchen Lama whom the Kuomintang government actively supported,arrived, in the company of his entourage,at Ganzi,from Yushu．This complicated an already delicate situation that existed in the province of Xikang．On the eve of 1939,the Ganzi Incident broke out following a young couple's love affair．The two youngsters,ultimately doomed tO misfortune,were caught up in a power struggle beyond their control． In the hope of retrieving a portrayal of these events we sought out one of the young lovers,Kunchen Ngodup, today,89 years old．
