明代白话短篇小说多以“朝奉”称呼徽商,这一对商人的称呼在其他地域是极少见的,体现了徽州商人特殊的文化心理,也是徽州文化延伸的一个标志。

Businessmen in the ancient Huizhou region are called “Chao Feng” in the vernacular short stories of the Ming Dynasty. Such a form of address for businessmen, hardly seen in other areas, betrays a special cultural mentality of Huizhou Businessmen, and signifies an extension of the local culture.
