The loss of Literary Imagination in The Era of Cultural Shift

"新时期"以来的文化转型时期,以往的价值体系瓦解了,我们的文化越来越走向了价值虚无。笔者 认为文学想像力丧失的现实根源就在于价值虚无主义。价值虚无导致作家无法对现实进行理想的提升和理性的 批判,文学只能匍匐于现实去展示它的琐屑与"欲望"。文学想像力的丧失是其对现实的超越性品性的丧失,最典 型地体现于"新写实"和"身体写作"。

The paper discusses the hot issue of 'the loss of literary imagination since 1990s', viewed from cultural shift. The former value system has collapsed and our culture has been approaching the nihility of value since the cultural shift in the 'New Era'. In the author's opinion, the realistic cause of the loss of literary imagination lies in the nihilism of value, as a result of which, authors can, by no means, lift reality in an ideal manner, neither criticize it rationally, and literature can only show its trifling and 'desire'pressed by reality. The loss of literary imagination means the loss of its surmounting criticism over reality, which is most typically exemplified in the writing of 'New Realism' and 'writing with boy'.
