坚持科学发展观和加强党的执政能力建设,二者相互联系,相互依赖,成为完成建设有中国特色社会主义宏伟事业的根本保证。高等学校是中国特色社会主义事业的重要组成部分,担负着创新知识、服务社会、培养社会主义事业的建设者和接班人的历史重任,只有以科学发展观为指导,全面推进高校教学、科研、管理等各项事业的发展,才能增强高校党的执政能力,才能巩固党在高校的执政地位。

Keeping scientific views of development and strengthening the construction of governing ability of Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which are interrelated and interdependent, are the essential guarantee of constructing the socialism with Chinese characteristics. Higher education, which is an important component part of the socialism with Chinese characteristics, takes the responsibilities of creating new knowledge, serving the society and training the constructers and successors. Only when higher education’s various works such as teaching, research and administration are promoted under the direction of scientific views of development, the governing ability of CCP in higher education can be strengthened and the governing position of CCP in higher education can be reinforced.
