Vein of Galen aneurysmal malformation:a case report and review of literatures

目的 探讨Galen静脉动脉瘤样畸形的临床特征和血管内治疗。方法 报告 1例Galen静脉动脉瘤样畸形病例,结合相关文献分析该病的分类、临床表现和影像特征,探讨其栓塞治疗。结果 Galen静脉动脉瘤样畸形是一种少见的血管性疾病,约占颅内血管畸形的 1%。不同的类型影像特征和临床表现不同,确诊和治疗有赖于脑DSA,血管内栓塞治疗效果较好。结论 Galen静脉动脉瘤样畸形有较高的致残率和死亡率,血管内治疗是目前最好的治疗方法。

Objective To study clinical features and endovascular treatment of the vein of Galen aneurysmal malformation. Methods A five year old girl. Who were demonstrated disease with vein of Galen aneurysmal malformation according to the imaging of MRA. After pertinent literatures were reviewed, the classification ,the clinical presentation and the imaging features were analysed, and embolization therapy was discussed. Results Vein of Galen aneurysmal malformation is rare anomalies of intracranial circulation that constitute 1% of all intracranial vascular malformations. The imaging characteristics and clinical performances of the different type is different. The diagnosis and the treatment rely on DSA. Endovascular treatment has proved itself to be effective and safe. Conclusions Vein of Galen aneurysmal malformation have high morbidity and mortality. Endovascular embolization treatment is the best therapy technique today.
