This paper gives instruction for measure calves and heifer height and weight, supplies charts of weekly and monthly heifer growth characteristics for Holstein heifers, it is the key management of heifer. In addition to monitoring growth, successful heifer rearing requires other five areas day-to-day managements: identification, grouping heifers, culling heifers, labor management, and records and financial management.
