Methodology and Development of Fault Diagnosis Based on Information Fusion in Power Generation Unit

This paper briefly describes the development of fault diagnosis based on the information fusion(IF) that used in power generation unit and introduces the IF basic conception. Some fusion methods in common use are reviewed and summarized in the fault diagnosis, which include many kinds of fusion methods combined together. A new quantitative diagnosis method based on the IF-information entropy is introduced. The developing direction of the fault diagnosis based on IF in the future is predicted.
