This paper compares the merits and demerits of several shelf-arranging methods for the back numbers such as the name-subsequence shelf-arranging method, the classified shelf-arranging method and the mixed shelf-arranging method, and connecting with the actual situation of Yifu Library of Yangzhou University, probes into the usage of various shelf-arranging methods.
