The research on the spatial distribution of office buildings in Shanghai becomes more and more important owing to the increasing business activities. Based on former studies and field investigations five major office centers were found in Shanghai. Governmetn policy, city planning, necessary accessories, traffic status and development history are the factors leading to the locating of the centers. The future features of location that could be predicted are as follows; coexistence of agglomeration and diffusion ; increasing connection between business activities; notable seperation of respective industries; assembling of office building along metro lines.
