Abstract Chances for Fujian's economic growth in the late 1990's and 21stcentury still lie in the Asia-Pacific Region which is Fujian's mainsource of capital and technology and main export markets.But Fujianis competed and challenged by ASEAN countries in absorbing foreigncapital and technolgy.Thus, Fujian should spare no effortsto improve its investment environment, both hard and soft.
