On the Development of Central Retail District in Hunan Road, Nanjing City

通过对南京市湖南路商业中心发展回顾和现状特征总结,指出湖南路商业中心发展存在的问题,在分析湖南路商业中心发展优势和潜力的基础上,认为湖南路商业中心应当重视功能协同,重点发展湖南路东部地区,进行用地置换,完善商业中心空间结构和综合交通体系。

This paper reviews the evolution of the central retail district (CRD) in Hunan road, and gives an analysis of its present status. Then based on the survey and analysis in some aspects such as the advantages and disadvantages of Hunan road retail district and the development of land use potential of this district, a proposal of expanding the east wing of the road is made in order to accelerate its advance progress and balancing its composition, with the concern of the coordination of two aspects in central retail district.
