Translation is not just a linguistic process but more a process of conveying different culture. This article illustrates Keith Harveys point of view on the relationship between language and culture by referring to Translating camp talk: Gay identities and cultural transfer,different languages represent the nature of different cultures and different cultures give different contents to Language. Keith Harvey has taken research on camp talk in the French and Anglo-American novels in order to illustrate how the translation of the camp in its fictional settings reveals the effects of constraints and priorities of differing cultural settings.
