犯罪小说的功能主义解读

A Functional Analysis of Crime Novels

运用定量与定性分析相结合的方法 ,借助韩礼德的功能主义学说 ,对卡波特的犯罪小说《在冷血中》进行了语言学分析。通过研究该小说典型语篇的及物性特质 ,包括过程类型及其特质 ,揭示该小说中人物个性及人物间失衡的权势关系 ,并在此基础上解析小说的文学意义 。

The present study,mainly based on M.A.K.Halliday's functional grammar,tries to make a linguistic analysis of Truman Capote's crime novel In Cold Blood. By exploring transitivity features of the sample texts,we aim to find out power relationships between the characters,and more importantly,to reveal how the literary effects of the novel,i.e.,sense of horror and sympathy for one of killers,are linguistically achieved.
