摘要
液晶的表面锚定的研究是液晶物理学的一个重要课题,也是液晶器件物理研究的关键问题。本文研究了不同的聚酰亚胺上摩擦强度与液晶的表面锚定强度的关系,分析了液晶的表面锚定强度与液晶分子表面预倾角的关系,并运用空间相互作用模型进行了理论分析。
Surface properties of nematic liquid crystals have always been attended a matter of much theoretical and experimental research. The orientation of liquid crysal molecules on a treated substrate is a necessary and inevitable process for preparing experimental samples or practical display devices. Rubbing on polymer is a simple and practical method to obtain homogeneous alignment of nematic liquid crystal. This paper investigated the relation between liquid crystal surface anchoring strength and rubbing strength on different poly-imide. The relation between anchoring strength and surface pretilt angle of liquid crystal was analysised, and it was theoretically explained by a steric interaction model.
