文化、宗教、职业道德与旅游翻译——试析旅游城市乐山翻译中存在的几个问题

翻译 ,特别是旅游翻译 ,与文化和宗教有着非常密切的关系。要搞好旅游的汉译英工作 ,译者必须具备较高的文化素养 ,对包括宗教文化在内的许多方面有较为深入的研究。同时 ,译者应具备良好的译风译德 ,有关部门也应更加重视翻译工作 ,将其纳入到发展旅游的整体规划中去。从这样的角度出发 ,作者对乐山旅游景点的英译进行了实地考察和认真分析 ,发现主要存在 16个方面的问题 ,分析了产生问题的根源 ,提出了解决问题的办法 ,以期唤起有关方面对乐山旅游翻译的重视 ,促进乐山向着国际旅游强市的目标迈出更为坚实的步伐。

Translation,particularly tourism translation,has very close ties with culture and religion. As translators,we need to be culturally qualified and have profound study of many aspects including culture and religion. In addition, translators should put all their hearts into work, and related government functionaries should pay more attention to the translation work in Leshan by listing it in the overall program of the tourist industry. For its sound growth, the author has conducted a thorough investigation into the English versions done in almost all the scenic spots of Leshan. In the investigation, the author has found 16 kinds of improper versions. The author analyses the root causes of such improper versions, and on the basis of such analysis, the author suggests some solutions to those problems in order to arouse the attention of all those concerned to pave a way for building Leshan into an international tourist city.
