The traditional culture factors that affect the reform of recruitment on both sides of the Taiwan Strait are as follows: the emphasis of education, reading being supreme, relying on human relationship, securing advantages through influence, the lack of honesty and the protection of cheating. Entrance examination of university on both sides of the Taiwan Strait should consider fully the restriction of cultural factors, otherwise more serious and educational problems might emerge.
