摘要
偏振模色散已成为限制光纤通信系统传输速率和距离的一大障碍,特别是当光纤通信系统单信道传输速率达到40Gb/s或以上时,二阶偏振模色散效应已不可忽略,它严重影响了信号传输质量,造成数字通信的码间干扰。本文根据单模光纤的偏振模色散时域脉冲响应公式,借助实验室开发的光纤通信系统仿真软件,分析了一阶、二阶偏振模色散对输出场中脉冲波形的影响,并验证出仿真实验与理论分析结果有很好的一致性。
Polarization mode dispersion (PMD) has become an obstacle of the development of optical communication system. As the bit-rate of a single channel in optical fiber transmission reaches 40Gb/s or beyond, the effect of the second order PMD can't be ignored. It will result in intersymbol interference (ISI) and corrupts, which affect severely the performance of the system. Based on the formula of the PMD fiber's time impulse response, the impact of the first and the second order PMD on
output envelope is analyzed in this paper. Emulation program of optical communication system is developed and applied. The results show that the theoretical analysis agreed with the results of emulation.
