摘要
本文报道了取自中太平洋北部M_6、M_8和M_(_0)三个站位三个锰结核样品铀、钍同位素含量的分析结果。应用铀系法测算锰结核的生长速率和翻动时间。对锰结核生长速率与化学组成、沉积环境等因素的关系及物质来源作了初步探讨。
Analyses of uranium and thorium isotopes in deep-sea manganese nodules taken from different stations in the northern part of the central Pacific Ocean during May to July, 1983 are presented in this paper. Growth rates and turning time of manganese nodules have been calculated. The chemical compositions, material sources, sedimentary environments and growth rates of manganese nodules as well as their interrelations have been studied.Growth rates calculated from the tops of 4 nodules, M6-4,M6-1, M8 and M20 are 2.9, 4.3, 1.9 and 0.80 mm/106a, respectively in the light of the rule of radioactive decay. The data obtained suggest low growth rates for the manganese nodules.
