The optical guided method (including attenuated total reflection method) has become a powerful tool in the field of liquid crystal study in recent years-it can be used to measure the optic constants of a liquid crystal, to analysis the the aligning properties of liquid crystal. to reveal the behavior of a liquid crystal under the application of optic field or electric field, etc. In this paper, some appllication of the optical guided method in theordernary measurement of liquid crystal cell are introduced.
