英语教学中适度引入本土文化知识的必要性

On the Necessity of the Introduction of Native Cultural Knowledge into English Language Teaching and Learning

英语是世界较通用的语言。在大时代背景下,强调本国内部文化知识的重要性是使博大精深的中国文化在新时代发挥其应有作用的必经途径,因此也必然是英语教育应该考虑的一块阵地。本文分析了我国语言文化教育的现状,并从跨文化交际、教师与学生三个不同的角度论述了适度的本土文化知识对于英语教学的必要性。

English is a language commonly used in the world. Emphasizing the significance of the native cultural knowledge in this epoch proves to be the only way to the prosperity of Chinese culture and to that of English education as well. This paper analyses the present conditions of language cultural education in China, and expounds, in the three aspects of cross-cultural communication, teachers and students, the necessity of appropriate introduction of native cultural knowledge into English language teaching and learning.
